I
nstead of just standing outside and having your photo taken near Tower Bridge you should enter the Tower Bridge Exhibition, inside this amazing structure and discover why the bridge was needed, how a design was chosen and how the bridge is raised. The main attraction has to be the spectacular views over London from the high level walkways, 45 metres above the River Thames. (Full disabled access, induction loops, English subtitles on videos, multilingual information boxes positioned around the displays in the Engine Rooms and scripts are available from the Ticket Office on request)

You may need to take your own pillow when you board the Golden Hinde to see what life was like for Sir Francis and his plucky sailors as they prepared to sail around the globe over 400 years ago, in a boat not much bigger than a double-decker bus. This floating museum offers a different take on what to do with the family over the holidays.
